When it comes to change and growth, we collectively default to addition.
Add in this new workout goal.
Add in this new diet.
Add in this new meditation habit.
And oftentimes…add in the thing we see littered across our social feeds.
But we miss something vital when we view growth solely through the operator of addition.
We miss focusing on the things that are already working well for us. We miss the opportunity to remove the things that don’t serve us.
Growth, more often than not, happens by doing less, but doing it better.
Sculptures aren’t crafted by adding to the base.
They’re made by whittling away at the parts that don’t serve the whole, and keeping what matters most.
That’s how masterpieces are made.
If you find value in the things I publish here, it’d mean the world if you’d share it with someone else. It’s the only way this space and community continues to grow.
