When you have a list of things you need to do that’s a mile long, how do you decide what to prioritize?
Or when you’re presented with something you could do, how do you decide if you should do it?
The answer may seem like a minor detail, but think about this reality: our entire life is just a string of decisions we make about what to prioritize.
I’ve come across a lot of frameworks that are helpful for coaching, leadership, and decision making. But my favorites - the ones that are the most useful and effective - are the frameworks that are simple.
As in, simple enough that you’ll actually use them.
CEE is one of those frameworks.
(It supposedly comes from the Navy SEALs, but anytime I see something attributed to them I assume someone’s lying. Akin to the countless quotes misattributed to Einstein or Twain.)
CEE stands for Critical, Essential, or Enhancing, and it offers a simple and powerful method for prioritizing tasks, responsibilities, and goals.
